Vancouver’s newest (and my new favourite) consignment shop, the Main Exchange, has found a home on 16th Avenue, just west off of Main Street. Opened by Miranda Dendewich in December of 2014, the Main Exchange is the culmination of years in the second-hand retail space and Miranda’s passion for finding treasures in the least expected places.
Looking to Consign Your Clothing?
Miranda accepts men’s and women’s clothing no more than two years old in gently used or like-new condition from well-known brand name labels. In addition to clothing, they also accept accessories such as handbags, scarves, belts, and shoes.
There is no appointment necessary to consign with Miranda. For consignment, she offers a 50/50 split. For high-end designer label items priced over $500, consignors receive 60% of the final selling price.
Your items are consigned for a three month term and are discounted monthly. If, after three months, your items haven’t sold, you can request them back or have them donated on your behalf. There are also options to sell or trade your clothing at 25% and 30% respectively. For more information on how to consign your clothes with the Main Exchange, check out their website.
